Magical Facial SA is registered in the Canton of Geneva and trades from the atelier there. Orders outside Switzerland are fulfilled from Kenosha, Wisconsin. Both practices are answered by one desk, and correspondence to either reaches the same people.

02Orders

An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when the preparation leaves Geneva and not when the order is placed, which matters because a batch can be exhausted between the two.

Nothing in the collection is presently available. Where a preparation shows as sold out no order can be placed, no deposit is taken and no waitlist is held. We are aware that this makes the ordering clause largely theoretical and we have left it in place for the day it is not.

03Prices and carriage

Prices are in United States dollars and exclude duty. Carriage is complimentary on orders above $250 and charged at cost below it.

A price is set when a batch is released and is not revised while that batch is in circulation. If a preparation is re-released at a different price, that is a different batch.

04What a preparation is, and is not

Each preparation is a cosmetic. It is not a medicine. Nothing on this site has been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration or by Swissmedic, and we do not claim that any preparation will diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything at all.

What we do claim is narrower and we hold to it: that the preparation is what the label says, that it was compounded from the batch named on its page, and that it was assayed before release.

05What a working is, and is not

A working is commissioned, not bought. The fee is for the casting and for the practitioner’s time. It is payable whether or not the stated effect follows.

We do not warrant that a working will produce its effect, and no figure printed on this site should be read as a promise that it will. Where a working carries its own remedy — the return of the fee, reversal without further charge — that remedy is set out on the working’s own page, and it is the whole of what is owed.

06What the practice will not undertake

No working upon a person who has not asked for one. No working upon another person’s will, health, memory, affection or livelihood. No working undertaken in anger, which is assessed at consultation and where the assessment is final.

A commission declined under this clause is declined at any fee, and we will not be persuaded by a different account of the same request.

07Cancellation

An order for a preparation may be cancelled at any time before dispatch, in writing to the desk, for a full refund.

A commissioned working may be cancelled without charge until the practitioner begins preparation. After that the consultation remains unpaid, as consultations always are, but the casting fee becomes due.

08Liability

Our liability in respect of any order or commission is limited to the sum paid for it.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — not as a courtesy, but because we may not.

09Governing law

Swiss law governs these terms, and the courts of Geneva have jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause removes a consumer’s rights under the law of the country in which they live.

10Changes

These terms are dated below. We keep every previous version and will send one to anyone who asks the desk for it.
