Donor programme & method

The active material in every preparation is human seminal plasma, taken from a single donor and standardised for spermine and polyamine content. Beyond that, the collection rests on one proposition, which we state plainly and have never claimed to have proven: that the character of a source is not wholly absent from the material it yields. Everything downstream of that proposition is measured.

Selection

We do not advertise for donors. Every arrangement in the collection began as an approach to someone already known to the house, and we select for sustained performance under load rather than for age, appearance or health alone.

Interview

Three unpaid sittings before any arrangement is made. We ask about work, discipline and disappointment, and we have twice ended an arrangement at this stage.

Consent

Held in writing, renewed annually, and terminable by the donor at any hour, for any reason or none, with no notice and no recovery of fees paid. Two donors have exercised this. Both batches were destroyed within the week.

Screening & collection

Full serology at each collection, with material held in quarantine until results return. Donors produce on site by appointment, in a private suite under their own control; nothing is collected elsewhere and nothing is brought in. Specimens are stabilised within sixty minutes and do not leave the building before compounding.

Compounding

The seminal plasma is separated from the cellular fraction, standardised for spermine and polyamine content, then blended into a base of shea butter, squalane, glycerin and a proprietary lipid complex. Quantities vary by preparation. No batch is blended with another; when a donor is unavailable, the preparation is out of stock.

Assay & release

Every batch is panelled for barrier recovery, hydration at eight hours, elasticity and luminance before release. The figures printed on each preparation page are the figures measured for that batch, in full.

What is the active material?

Human seminal plasma, from a single donor, standardised for spermine and polyamine content. It is present in every preparation in the collection; what varies is the donor and the concentration. The full ingredient list is printed on each preparation page and is identical across the collection.

Is the material screened?

Yes. Every donor is screened at every collection for HIV 1 and 2, hepatitis B and C, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhoea and cytomegalovirus. Material is held in quarantine until the results return. No unscreened material has ever been compounded, and no batch has ever been released against an incomplete panel.

Is the material organic?

No certifying body we have approached is willing to assess it. The organic schemes are written for agriculture and none of them contemplate a donor. We therefore describe the material only as we can evidence it: single-source, unblended, screened at every collection, and compounded without fragrance, colourant or filler. The word does not appear on our packaging.

Are donors paid?

All but one. Rates are per collection rather than per unit sold, so that no donor holds a financial interest in how a batch performs at release. Donor 0009 has declined payment since the arrangement began.

Why is so little available?

Because releases follow the donor rather than a calendar. A collection yields what it yields, batches are never blended to fill a gap, and no preparation is substituted for another. Between releases the preparation is simply out of stock.

Do you operate a waitlist?

Not at present. Waitlists are closed across the collection. No. 10 is allocated from a closed list that has not opened since 2022.

Do the two practices overlap?

No. The compounders and the practitioners share a building and a payroll and nothing else. No preparation has been cast upon and no working has involved a preparation.

Can I visit the atelier?

No. The collection suite is private and the atelier is not open to customers or to press.
